⁵⁵ But he, ^(A)full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw ^(B)the glory of God, and Jesus standing ^(C)at the right hand of God.

¹⁹ So then the Lord Jesus, ^(A)after he had spoken to them, ^(B)was taken up into heaven and ^(C)sat down at the right hand of God.

³ He is the radiance of the glory of God and ^(A)the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. ^(B)After making purification for sins, ^(C)he sat down ^(D)at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

⁶ For God, who said, ^(A)“Let light shine out of darkness,” ^(B)has shone in our hearts to give ^(C)the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

¹⁰ But ^(A)they could not withstand the wisdom and the Spirit with which he was speaking.

⁵ And what they said pleased the whole gathering, and they chose Stephen, ^(A)a man full of faith and ^(B)of the Holy Spirit, and ^(C)Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolaus, ^(D)a proselyte of Antioch.

The Throne in Heaven

4 After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me ^(A)like a trumpet, said, ^(B)“Come up here, and ^(C)I will show you what must take place after this.” ² At once ^(D)I was in the Spirit, and behold, ^(E)a throne stood in heaven, with one seated on the throne. ³ And he who sat there had the appearance of ^(F)jasper and carnelian, and around the throne was ^(G)a rainbow that had the appearance of an emerald.

Jesus, High Priest of a Better Covenant

8 Now the point in what we are saying is this: we have such a high priest, ^(A)one who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,

Stephen Is Seized

⁸ And Stephen, full of grace and ^(A)power, was doing great wonders and signs among the people.
