^14 (A)Then Joseph sent and called his father Jacob and ^(B)all his relatives to him, ^[a]seventy-five people.

²² Your fathers went down to Egypt with seventy persons, and now the Lord your God has made you as the stars of heaven in multitude.

^26 (A)All the persons who went with Jacob to Egypt, who came from his body, ^(B)besides Jacob’s sons’ wives, were sixty-six persons in all. ²⁷ And the sons of Joseph who were born to him in Egypt were two persons. ^(C)All the persons of the house of Jacob who went to Egypt were seventy.

⁵ All those ^[a]who were descendants of Jacob were ^(A)seventy^[b] persons (for Joseph was in Egypt already).

⁵ The sons of ^(A)Perez were Hezron and Hamul. ⁶ The sons of Zerah were ^[a]Zimri, ^(B)Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and ^[b]Dara—five of them in all.

¹² The sons of ^(A)Judah were ^(B)Er, Onan, Shelah, Perez, and Zerah (but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan). ^(C)The sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.

⁹ “Hurry and go up to my father, and say to him, ‘Thus says your son Joseph: “God has made me lord of all Egypt; come down to me, do not ^[a]tarry. ^10 (A)You shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near to me, you and your children, your children’s children, your flocks and your herds, and all that you have. ¹¹ There I will ^(B)provide for you, lest you and your household, and all that you have, come to poverty; for there are still five years of famine.” ’
