12 And they stirred up the people, the elders, and the scribes, and they (A)came up to him and dragged him away, and brought him [a]before (B)the [b]Council. 13 They put forward (C)false witnesses who said, “This man does not stop [c]speaking against this (D)holy place and the Law; 14 for we have heard him say that (E)this Nazarene, Jesus, will destroy this place and change (F)the customs which Moses handed down to us.” 15 And all who were sitting in the [d](G)Council stared at him, and they saw his face, which was like the face of an angel.

13 They had false witnesses stand up and say, “This man never stops saying things against this Holy Place and against the Law. 14 For we have heard him say that this Jesus from Nazareth[c] will destroy this place and change the customs that Moses handed down to us.” 15 Then everyone who was seated in the Council[d] glared at him and saw that his face was like the face of an angel.
