Acts 5:40-42

40 They agreed with him. When they had called in the apostles, they beat them, and commanded them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and released them.
41 Then they departed from the presence of the Sanhedrin, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name. 42 Daily, in the temple and from house to house, they did not cease to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

40 And they summoned the apostles, beat them,[a] commanded them[b] not to speak in the name of Jesus, and released them.[c] 41 So they went out from the presence of the Sanhedrin[d] rejoicing, because they had been considered worthy to be dishonored for the sake of the name. 42 Every day, both in the temple courts[e] and from house to house, they did not stop teaching and proclaiming the good news that the Christ[f] was Jesus.
