⁴¹ So they went on their way from the presence of the ^[a](A)Council, ^(B)rejoicing that they had been considered worthy to suffer shame ^(C)for His name.

^3 (A)And not only this, but ^[a]we also ^(B)exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about ^(C)perseverance; ⁴ and ^(D)perseverance, ^(E)proven character; and proven character, hope; ⁵ and hope ^(F)does not disappoint, because the love of God has been ^(G)poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

¹⁷ and if children, ^(A)heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, ^(B)if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.
