¹⁶ Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing ^(A)sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.

¹⁷ And these ^(A)signs will follow those who ^[a]believe: ^(B)In My name they will cast out demons; ^(C)they will speak with new tongues; ^18 (D)they^[b] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; ^(E)they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

³ Then they came to Him, bringing a ^(A)paralytic who was carried by four men. ⁴ And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying.

^16 [a]Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. ^(A)The effective, ^[b]fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

^9 (A)to another faith by the same Spirit, to another ^(B)gifts of healings by ^[a]the same Spirit,

³⁰ by stretching out Your hand to heal, ^(A)and that signs and wonders may be done ^(B)through the name of ^(C)Your holy Servant Jesus.”

The Answered Prayer

^12 (A)“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

¹¹ But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing.

Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralytic^(A)

¹⁷ Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present ^[a]to heal them.
