¹⁴ And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women,

⁴⁷ praising God and having favor with all the people. And ^(A)the Lord added ^[a]to the church daily those who were being saved.

^28 (A)There is neither Jew nor Greek, ^(B)there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all ^(C)one in Christ Jesus.

¹¹ Nevertheless, ^(A)neither is man independent of woman, nor woman independent of man, in the Lord. ¹² For as woman came from man, even so man also comes through woman; but all things are from God.

^4 (A)I persecuted this Way to the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women,

⁴² And it became known throughout all Joppa, ^(A)and many believed on the Lord.

³⁵ So all who dwelt at Lydda and ^(A)Sharon saw him and ^(B)turned to the Lord.

The Church Prospers

^31 (A)Then the ^[a]churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were ^(B)edified.^[b] And walking in the ^(C)fear of the Lord and in the ^(D)comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were ^(E)multiplied.

² and asked ^(A)letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.

¹² But when they believed Philip as he preached the things ^(A)concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized.
