5 Now a man named Ananias, together with his wife Sapphira, also sold a piece of property.

The Death of Nadab and Abihu

10 Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu^(A) took their censers,^(B) put fire in them^(C) and added incense;^(D) and they offered unauthorized fire before the Lord,^(E) contrary to his command.^{(F) 2} So fire came out^(G) from the presence of the Lord and consumed them,^(H) and they died before the Lord.^{(I) 3} Moses then said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord spoke of when he said:

Aaron remained silent.

²⁰ In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use.^(A)

The Parable of the Net

⁴⁷ “Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like^(A) a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds^(B) of fish. ⁴⁸ When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away.

³⁷ All those the Father gives me^(A) will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.

6 Now the gates of Jericho^(A) were securely barred because of the Israelites. No one went out and no one came in.
