8 (A)Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: 9 If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, 10 let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, (B)that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, (C)whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 11 This is the (D)‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’

8 Peter, full of the Holy Spirit, answered them, “Leaders of the people and elders: 9 if we are being questioned today about the good deed done to the lame man and how he was healed, 10 then you should all know, and all the people of Israel should know, that this man stands here before you completely well through the power of the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth—whom you crucified and whom God raised from death. 11 (A)Jesus is the one of whom the scripture says,
‘The stone that you the builders despised
turned out to be the most important of all.’
