²⁴ When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God.^(A) “Sovereign Lord,” they said, “you made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and everything in them.^(B)

¹¹ “Tell them this: ‘These gods, who did not make the heavens and the earth, will perish^(F) from the earth and from under the heavens.’”^[a]

¹⁶ Rejoice always,^{(A) 17} pray continually,^{(B) 18} give thanks in all circumstances;^(C) for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

¹⁵ And Hezekiah prayed to the Lord: “Lord, the God of Israel, enthroned between the cherubim,^(A) you alone^(B) are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.

¹⁷ But the Lord stood at my side^(A) and gave me strength,^(B) so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it.^(C) And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth.^{(D) 18} The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack^(E) and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom.^(F) To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.^(G)
