Acts 4:23-31
New King James Version
Prayer for Boldness(A)
23 And being let go, (B)they went to their own companions and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them. 24 So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: “Lord, (C)You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them, 25 who [a]by the mouth of Your servant David have said:
(D)‘Why did the nations rage,
And the people plot vain things?
26 The kings of the earth took their stand,
And the rulers were gathered together
Against the Lord and against His Christ.’
27 “For (E)truly against (F)Your holy Servant Jesus, (G)whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together 28 (H)to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done. 29 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants (I)that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, (J)and that signs and wonders may be done (K)through the name of (L)Your holy Servant Jesus.”
31 And when they had prayed, (M)the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, (N)and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

23 When they had been released, they went to their own companions and reported everything that the chief priests and the elders had said to them. 24 And when they heard this, they raised their voices to God with one mind and said, “[a]Lord, it is You who (A)made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything that is in them, 25 who (B)by the Holy Spirit, through the mouth of our father David Your servant, said,
‘(C)Why were the [b]nations insolent,
And the peoples plotting in vain?
26 (D)The kings of the earth [c]took their stand,
And the rulers were gathered together
Against the Lord and against His [d](E)Christ.’
27 For truly in this city there were gathered together against Your holy [e](F)Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both (G)Herod and (H)Pontius Pilate, along with (I)the [f]Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, 28 to do whatever Your hand and (J)purpose predestined to occur. 29 And [g]now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant it to Your bond-servants to (K)speak Your word with all (L)confidence, 30 while You extend Your hand to heal, and [h](M)signs and wonders take place through the name of Your holy [i](N)Servant Jesus.” 31 And when they had prayed, the (O)place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all (P)filled with the Holy Spirit and began to (Q)speak the word of God with (R)boldness.
