¹⁶ saying, ^(A)“What shall we do to these men? For, indeed, that a ^[a]notable miracle has been done through them is ^(B)evident^[b] to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it.

¹⁰ And ^(A)they were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke.

⁷ And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. ⁸ So he, ^(A)leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God. ^9 (B)And all the people saw him walking and praising God. ¹⁰ Then they knew that it was he who ^(C)sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

^18 (A)For this reason the people also met Him, because they heard that He had done this sign.

^47 (A)Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said, ^(B)“What shall we do? For this Man works many signs. ⁴⁸ If we let Him alone like this, everyone will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and nation.”

¹⁵ for I will give you a mouth and wisdom ^(A)which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or ^[a]resist.

¹⁰ And when He had looked around at them all, He said to ^[a]the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he did so, and his hand was restored ^[b]as whole as the other. ¹¹ But they were filled with rage, and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.

¹⁶ And at that time they had a notorious prisoner called ^[a]Barabbas.

⁸ Therefore the male goat grew very great; but when he became strong, the large horn was broken, and in place of it ^(A)four notable ones came up toward the four winds of heaven.

⁵ And as I was considering, suddenly a male goat came from the west, across the surface of the whole earth, without touching the ground; and the goat had a notable ^(A)horn between his eyes.
