¹⁴ But you denied ^(A)the Holy and ^(B)Righteous One, and ^(C)asked for a murderer to be granted to you, ¹⁵ and you killed ^(D)the Author of life, ^(E)whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnesses. ¹⁶ And ^(F)his name—by ^(G)faith in his name—has made this man strong whom you see and know, and the faith that is ^(H)through Jesus^[a] has given the man this perfect health in the presence of you all.

¹⁷ “And now, brothers, I know that ^(I)you acted in ignorance, as did also your rulers. ¹⁸ But what God ^(J)foretold ^(K)by the mouth of all the prophets, that ^(L)his Christ would ^(M)suffer, he thus fulfilled.

² Through him we have also ^(A)obtained access by faith^[a] into this grace ^(B)in which we stand, and ^(C)we^[b] rejoice^[c] in hope of the glory of God.

⁸ For ^(A)by grace you have been saved ^(B)through faith. And this is ^(C)not your own doing; ^(D)it is the gift of God, ^9 (E)not a result of works, ^(F)so that no one may boast.

^17 (A)Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from ^(B)the Father of lights, ^(C)with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.^{[a] 18 (D)}Of his own will he ^(E)brought us forth by the word of truth, ^(F)that we should be a kind of ^(G)firstfruits of his creatures.
