A Lame Man Healed

3 Now Peter and John went up together ^(A)to the temple at the hour of prayer, ^(B)the ninth hour.

³ About ^[a]the ninth hour of the day ^(A)he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming in and saying to him, “Cornelius!”

The Sorcerer’s Sin

¹⁴ Now when the ^(A)apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them,

²⁵ So one came and told them, ^[a]saying, “Look, the men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people!”

The Name of Jesus Forbidden

¹³ Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, ^(A)and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.

³⁰ So Cornelius said, ^[a]“Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and behold, ^(A)a man stood before me ^(B)in bright clothing,

^46 (A)So continuing daily with one accord ^(B)in the temple, and ^(C)breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,

⁷ Therefore ^(A)that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had removed it), and plunged into the sea.

² Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the ^(A)other disciple, ^(B)whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.”

^3 (C)Peter therefore went out, and the other disciple, and were going to the tomb. ⁴ So they both ran together, and the other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first. ⁵ And he, stooping down and looking in, saw ^(D)the linen cloths lying there; yet he did not go in. ⁶ Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there, ⁷ and ^(E)the ^[a]handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by itself. ⁸ Then the ^(F)other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed. ⁹ For as yet they did not ^[b]know the ^(G)Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead.
