²⁰ For this reason therefore I have called for you, to see you and speak with you, because ^(A)for the hope of Israel I am bound with ^(B)this chain.”

^9 (A)for which I suffer trouble as an evildoer, ^(B)even to the point of chains; ^(C)but the word of God is not chained.

²⁰ for which ^(A)I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

^6 (A)And now I stand and am judged for the hope of ^(B)the promise made by God to our fathers. ⁷ To this promise ^(C)our twelve tribes, earnestly serving God ^(D)night and day, ^(E)hope to attain. For this hope’s sake, King Agrippa, I am accused by the Jews.

¹³ so that it has become evident ^(A)to the whole ^[a]palace guard, and to all the rest, that my chains are in Christ;

²⁹ And Paul said, ^(A)“I would to God that not only you, but also all who hear me today, might become both almost and altogether such as I am, except for these chains.”

3 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles—

^15 (A)I have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, ^(B)that there will be a resurrection ^[a]of the dead, both of the just and the unjust.

⁶ But when Paul perceived that one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, “Men and brethren, ^(A)I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee; ^(B)concerning the hope and resurrection of the dead I am being judged!”
