28 After we were brought safely through, ^(A)we then learned that ^(B)the island was called Malta.

¹⁷ After hoisting it up, they used supports to undergird the ship. Then, fearing that they would ^(A)run aground on the Syrtis, they lowered the gear,^[a] and thus they were driven along.
