²⁵ Therefore take heart, men, ^(A)for I believe God that it will be just as it was told me.

²⁰ He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, ²¹ and being fully convinced that what He had promised ^(A)He was also able to perform.

^45 (A)Blessed is she who ^[a]believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.”

¹² For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, ^(A)for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.

²⁰ So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: ^(A)Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.”

²¹ But after long abstinence from food, then Paul stood in the midst of them and said, “Men, you should have listened to me, and not have sailed from Crete and incurred this disaster and loss. ²² And now I urge you to take ^[a]heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship.

¹¹ Nevertheless the centurion was more persuaded by the helmsman and the owner of the ship than by the things spoken by Paul.

³⁶ Then they were all encouraged, and also took food themselves.
