The Plot Against Paul

¹¹ But ^(A)the following night the Lord stood by him and said, ^[a]“Be of good cheer, Paul; for as you have testified for Me in ^(B)Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness at ^(C)Rome.”

^14 (A)Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will ^(B)inherit salvation?

The Lord Is Faithful

^17 (A)But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, ^(B)so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered ^(C)out of the mouth of the lion.

¹⁹ But at night ^(A)an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said,

⁹ For ^(A)God is my witness, ^(B)whom I serve ^[a]with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that ^(C)without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers,

⁹ Now ^(A)the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, “Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent;

⁸ Then the angel said to him, “Gird yourself and tie on your sandals”; and so he did. And he said to him, “Put on your garment and follow me.” ⁹ So he went out and followed him, and ^(A)did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought ^(B)he was seeing a vision. ¹⁰ When they were past the first and the second guard posts, they came to the iron gate that leads to the city, ^(C)which opened to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.

¹¹ And when Peter had come to himself, he said, “Now I know for certain that ^(D)the Lord has sent His angel, and ^(E)has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people.”

^14 (A)who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed ^(B)and purify for Himself ^(C)His own special people, zealous for good works.
