²³ For this very night ^(A)there ^(B)stood before me ^(C)an angel of the God ^(D)to whom I belong and ^(E)whom I worship,

^11 (A)The following night ^(B)the Lord stood by him and said, ^(C)“Take courage, for ^(D)as you have testified to the facts about me in Jerusalem, so you must ^(E)testify also in Rome.”

¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits ^(A)sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to ^(B)inherit salvation?

¹⁷ But ^(A)the Lord stood by me and ^(B)strengthened me, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and ^(C)all the Gentiles might hear it. So ^(D)I was rescued ^(E)from the lion's mouth.

¹⁹ But during the night ^(A)an angel of the Lord ^(B)opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said,

^9 (A)For God is my witness, ^(B)whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, ^(C)that without ceasing I mention you

⁹ And the Lord said to Paul ^(A)one night in ^(B)a vision, ^(C)“Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent,

⁸ And the angel said to him, “Dress yourself and ^(A)put on your sandals.” And he did so. And he said to him, “Wrap your cloak around you and follow me.” ⁹ And he went out and followed him. He did not know that what was being done by the angel was real, but ^(B)thought he was seeing a vision. ¹⁰ When they had passed the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate leading into the city. ^(C)It opened for them of its own accord, and they went out and went along one street, and immediately the angel left him. ¹¹ When Peter ^(D)came to himself, he said, “Now I am sure that ^(E)the Lord has sent his angel and ^(F)rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were expecting.”

^14 (A)who gave himself for us to ^(B)redeem us from all lawlessness and ^(C)to purify for himself ^(D)a people for his own possession who are ^(E)zealous for good works.
