²² But now I urge you to keep up your courage,^(A) because not one of you will be lost; only the ship will be destroyed.

³⁶ They were all encouraged^(A) and ate some food themselves.

²⁵ So keep up your courage,^(A) men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me.^(B)

⁸ We are hard pressed on every side,^(A) but not crushed; perplexed,^(B) but not in despair; ⁹ persecuted,^(C) but not abandoned;^(D) struck down, but not destroyed.^(E)

⁴ who comforts us^(A) in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. ⁵ For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ,^(B) so also our comfort abounds through Christ. ⁶ If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation;^(C) if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer.
