¹⁶ But rise and ^(A)stand upon your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose, ^(B)to appoint you as a servant and witness to the things in which you have seen me and to those in which I will appear to you,

¹⁴ And he said, ^(A)‘The God of our fathers ^(B)appointed you to know his will, ^(C)to see ^(D)the Righteous One and ^(E)to hear a voice from his mouth; ¹⁵ for ^(F)you will be a witness for him to everyone of what ^(G)you have seen and heard.

¹¹ And he said to me, “O Daniel, ^(A)man greatly loved, ^(B)understand the words that I speak to you, and ^(C)stand upright, for ^(D)now I have been sent to you.” And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling.

Ezekiel's Call

2 And he said to me, ^(A)“Son of man,^{[a] (B)}stand on your feet, and I will speak with you.”

Christ Jesus Came to Save Sinners

¹² I thank him ^(A)who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, ^(B)appointing me to his service,

^12 (A)For I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it ^(B)through a revelation of Jesus Christ.

¹⁶ to be ^(A)a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles ^(B)in the priestly service of the gospel of God, so that ^(C)the offering of the Gentiles may be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

⁵ As for you, ^(A)always be sober-minded, ^(B)endure suffering, do the work of ^(C)an evangelist, ^(D)fulfill your ministry.

A Good Servant of Christ Jesus

^6 (A)If you put these things before the brothers,^[a] you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, being trained in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine that you have ^(B)followed.
