⁶ After he stayed among them not more than eight or ten days, he went down to Caesarea. And the next day he took his seat on ^(A)the tribunal and ordered Paul to be brought.

^17 (A)So when they came together here, I made no delay, but on the next day took my seat on ^(B)the tribunal and ordered the man to be brought.

¹⁰ But Paul said, “I am standing before Caesar's ^(A)tribunal, where I ought to be tried. To the Jews I have done no wrong, as you yourself know very well.

¹⁹ Besides, while he was sitting on ^(A)the judgment seat, his wife sent word to him, “Have nothing to do with ^(B)that righteous man, for I have suffered much because of him today ^(C)in a dream.”

⁶ But you ^(A)have dishonored the poor man. Are not the rich the ones who oppress you, and the ones who ^(B)drag you ^(C)into court?

¹⁰ For ^(A)we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, ^(B)so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

¹² But when Gallio was ^(A)proconsul of Achaia, ^(B)the Jews^[a] made a united attack on Paul and ^(C)brought him before the tribunal, ¹³ saying, “This man is persuading people to worship God contrary to ^(D)the law.” ¹⁴ But when Paul was about to open his mouth, Gallio said to the Jews, “If it were a matter of wrongdoing or vicious ^(E)crime, O Jews, I would have reason to accept your complaint. ¹⁵ But ^(F)since it is a matter of questions about words and names and ^(G)your own law, see to it yourselves. I refuse to be a judge of these things.” ¹⁶ And he drove them from the tribunal. ¹⁷ And they all seized Sosthenes, the ruler of the synagogue, and beat him in front of the tribunal. But Gallio paid no attention to any of this.

¹³ So when Pilate heard these words, he brought Jesus out and sat down on ^(A)the judgment seat at a place called The Stone Pavement, and in Aramaic^[a] Gabbatha.
