¹⁴ But this I confess to you, that according to ^(A)the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the ^(B)God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in ^(C)the Law and in the Prophets.

² and asked ^(A)letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.

God’s Righteousness Through Faith

²¹ But now ^(A)the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, ^(B)being witnessed by the Law ^(C)and the Prophets,

²³ So when they had appointed him a day, many came to him at his lodging, ^(A)to whom he explained and solemnly testified of the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus ^(B)from both the Law of Moses and the Prophets, from morning till evening.

^13 (A)The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, ^(B)glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you ^(C)delivered up and ^(D)denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go.

²² Therefore, having obtained help from God, to this day I stand, witnessing both to small and great, saying no other things than those ^(A)which the prophets and ^(B)Moses said would come—

^5 (A)For we have found this man a plague, a creator of dissension among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes.

Timothy’s Faith and Heritage

³ I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my ^(A)forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day,

²⁷ King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know that you do believe.”

¹⁰ And ^(A)I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, ^(B)“See that you do not do that! I am your ^(C)fellow servant, and of your brethren ^(D)who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the ^(E)testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
