¹⁵ for you will be his witness to all the world of what you have seen and heard.^(A)

²⁰ for we cannot keep from speaking about what we have seen and heard.”^(A)

¹¹ That night the Lord stood near him and said, “Keep up your courage! For just as you have testified for me in Jerusalem, so you must bear witness also in Rome.”^(A)

²⁷ You also are to testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.^(A)

⁸ But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”^(A)

⁴⁷ and that repentance and forgiveness of sins is to be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.^{(A) 48} You are witnesses^[a] of these things.^(B)

²⁴ and he said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul; you must stand before the emperor, and, indeed, God has granted safety to all those who are sailing with you.’^(A)

²⁰ but declared first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout the countryside of Judea, and also to the gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God and do deeds consistent with repentance.^(A)

¹⁴ Then he said, ‘The God of our ancestors has chosen you to know his will, to see the Righteous One, and to hear his own voice,^(A)

³⁹ We are witnesses to all that he did both in Judea and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a tree,^{(A) 40} but God raised him on the third day and allowed him to appear,^{(B) 41} not to all the people but to us who were chosen by God as witnesses and who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.^(C)
