⁴ We looked up the disciples and stayed there for seven days. Through the Spirit they told Paul not to go on to Jerusalem.^(A)

¹⁰ While we were staying there for several days, a prophet named Agabus came down from Judea. ¹¹ He came to us and took Paul’s belt, bound his own feet and hands with it, and said, “Thus says the Holy Spirit, ‘This is the way the Jews in Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and will hand him over to the gentiles.’ ”^{(A) 12} When we heard this, we and the people there urged him not to go up to Jerusalem.

²² And now, as a captive to the Spirit,^[a] I am on my way to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there,^{(A) 23} except that the Holy Spirit testifies to me in every city that imprisonment and persecutions are waiting for me.^(B)

¹⁴ There we found brothers and sisters and were invited to stay with them for seven days. And so we came to Rome.^(A)

⁶ but we sailed from Philippi after the days of Unleavened Bread, and in five days we joined them in Troas, where we stayed for seven days.^(A)

⁷ On the first day of the week, when we met to break bread, Paul was holding a discussion with them; since he intended to leave the next day, he continued speaking until midnight.^(B)

19 While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul passed through the interior regions and came to Ephesus, where he found some disciples.^(A)

²⁶ and when he had found him he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for an entire year they met with the church and taught a great many people, and it was in Antioch that the disciples were first called “Christians.”^(A)
