Acts 20:32
New International Version
32 “Now I commit you to God(A) and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance(B) among all those who are sanctified.(C)
James 1:22-25
New International Version
22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.(A) 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom,(B) and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.(C)
Matthew 14:26-31
New International Version
26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,”(A) they said, and cried out in fear.
27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage!(B) It is I. Don’t be afraid.”(C)
28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
29 “Come,” he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,”(D) he said, “why did you doubt?”
