²⁷ For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God.^(A)

²⁰ You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything^(A) that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house.

⁴ On the contrary, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel.^(A) We are not trying to please people^(B) but God, who tests our hearts.^(C)

¹⁶ Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?^(A)

² Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways;^(A) we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God.^(B) On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience^(C) in the sight of God.

⁷ which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion^(A) and are trying to pervert^(B) the gospel of Christ. ⁸ But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you,^(C) let them be under God’s curse!^{(D) 9} As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted,^(E) let them be under God’s curse!

¹⁰ Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people?^(F) If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

²³ This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge;^(A) and you, with the help of wicked men,^[a] put him to death by nailing him to the cross.^(B)

³⁰ But the Pharisees and the experts in the law^(A) rejected God’s purpose for themselves, because they had not been baptized by John.)

²⁰ and teaching^(A) them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you^(B) always, to the very end of the age.”^(C)
