^21 (A)testifying both to Jews and to Greeks of ^(B)repentance toward God and of ^(C)faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.^[a]

³⁸ And Peter said to them, ^(A)“Repent and ^(B)be baptized every one of you ^(C)in the name of Jesus Christ ^(D)for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive ^(E)the gift of the Holy Spirit.

¹¹ And this is the testimony, that God gave us ^(A)eternal life, and ^(B)this life is in his Son. ^12 (C)Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

That You May Know

¹³ I write ^(D)these things to you who ^(E)believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.

¹⁸ When they heard these things they fell silent. And they ^(A)glorified God, saying, ^(B)“Then to the Gentiles also God has ^(C)granted ^(D)repentance that leads to life.”

³ No, I tell you; but unless you ^(A)repent, you will all likewise perish.

²⁵ correcting his opponents ^(A)with gentleness. God ^(B)may perhaps grant them repentance ^(C)leading to a knowledge of the truth, ²⁶ and they may come to their senses and escape from ^(D)the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.

¹⁰ For ^(A)godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas ^(B)worldly grief produces death.

²⁴ But ^(A)I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only ^(B)I may finish my course and ^(C)the ministry ^(D)that I received from the Lord Jesus, ^(E)to testify to ^(F)the gospel of ^(G)the grace of God.

⁴⁷ and that ^(A)repentance for^[a] the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed ^(B)in his name ^(C)to all nations, ^(D)beginning from Jerusalem.
