⁴⁷ praising God and ^(A)having favor with all the people. And the Lord ^(B)added to their number ^(C)day by day those who ^(D)were being saved.

^5 (A)So the churches were strengthened in ^(B)the faith, and they increased in numbers ^(C)daily.

¹³ None of the rest dared join them, but ^(A)the people held them in high esteem. ¹⁴ And ^(B)more than ever believers were added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women,

Christ the Wisdom and Power of God

¹⁸ For the word of the cross is ^(A)folly to ^(B)those who are perishing, but to us ^(C)who are being saved it is ^(D)the power of God.

⁴¹ So those who received his word were baptized, and ^(A)there were added that day about three thousand souls.

³⁹ For ^(A)the promise is for you and ^(B)for your children and for all ^(C)who are far off, everyone ^(D)whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”

¹⁸ Whoever thus serves Christ is ^(A)acceptable to God and approved by men.

²⁴ for he was a good man, ^(A)full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a great many people ^(B)were added to the Lord.

⁴ But when ^(A)the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, ⁵ he saved us, ^(B)not because of works done by us in righteousness, but ^(C)according to his own mercy, by ^(D)the washing of regeneration and ^(E)renewal of the Holy Spirit,
