³⁸ Then Peter said to them, ^(A)“Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the ^[a]remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

¹⁶ And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, ^(A)and wash away your sins, ^(B)calling on the name of the Lord.’

^48 (A)And he commanded them to be baptized ^(B)in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to stay a few days.

¹² But when they believed Philip as he preached the things ^(A)concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized.

⁴⁷ and that repentance and ^(A)remission of sins should be preached in His name ^(B)to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

^16 (A)He who believes and is baptized will be saved; ^(B)but he who does not believe will be condemned.

^19 (A)Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

^21 (A)There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism ^(B)(not the removal of the filth of the flesh, ^(C)but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

The Holy Spirit Falls on the Gentiles

⁴⁴ While Peter was still speaking these words, ^(A)the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. ^45 (B)And ^[a]those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, ^(C)because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.

³ Or do you not know that ^(A)as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus ^(B)were baptized into His death?
