The Day of Pentecost

2 When ^(A)the day of Pentecost ^[a]had come, they were all together in one place. ² And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled ^(B)the whole house where they were sitting. ³ And there appeared to them tongues as of fire ^[b]distributing themselves, and ^[c]they ^[d]rested on each one of them.

^43 [a]Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many ^(A)wonders and ^[b]signs were taking place through the apostles. ⁴⁴ And all those who had believed ^[c]were together and ^(B)had all things in common; ⁴⁵ and they ^(C)began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need. ^46 (D)Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and ^(E)breaking bread ^[d]from house to house, they were taking their ^[e]meals together with gladness and ^[f]sincerity of heart, ⁴⁷ praising God and ^(F)having favor with all the people. And the Lord ^(G)was adding ^[g]to their number day by day ^(H)those who were being saved.
