Acts 1:4-8

4 [a]Gathering them together, He commanded them (A)not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for [b](B)what the Father had promised, “Which,” He said, “you heard of from Me; 5 for (C)John baptized [c]with water, but you will be baptized [d]with the Holy Spirit [e](D)not many days from now.”
6 So, when they had come together, they began asking Him, saying, “Lord, (E)is it at this time that You are restoring the kingdom to Israel?” 7 But He said to them, “It is not for you to know periods of time or appointed times which (F)the Father has set by His own authority; 8 but you will receive power (G)when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be (H)My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and (I)Samaria, and as far as (J)the remotest part of the earth.”

4 And while staying[a] with them he charged them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me, 5 for John baptized with water, but before many days you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”
The Ascension of Jesus
6 So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has fixed by his own authority. 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samar′ia and to the end of the earth.”
