In the Lecture Hall of Tyrannus

Paul entered the synagogue and spoke boldly over a period of three months, arguing and persuading them about the kingdom of God.(A) But when some became hardened and would not believe, slandering the Way in front of the crowd, he withdrew from them, taking the disciples, and conducted discussions every day in the lecture hall of Tyrannus.(B) 10 This went on for two years, so that all the residents of Asia, both Jews and Greeks,(C) heard the word of the Lord.(D)

He went into the synagogue and spoke there boldly for three months, holding discussions and persuading those who heard him[a] about the kingdom of God. But when some people became stubborn, refused to believe, and slandered the Way in front of the people, Paul[b] left them, taking his disciples away with him, and held daily discussions in the lecture hall of Tyrannus.[c] 10 This went on for two years, so that all who lived in Asia, Jews and Greeks alike, heard the word of the Lord.
