⁷ And he departed from there and entered the house of a certain man named ^[a]Justus, one who worshiped God, whose house was next door to the synagogue.

¹⁴ Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of ^(A)Thyatira, who worshiped God. ^(B)The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul.

¹¹ and Jesus who is called Justus. These are my only fellow workers for the kingdom of God who are of the circumcision; they have proved to be a comfort to me.

^4 (A)And some of them were persuaded; and a great multitude of the devout Greeks, and not a few of the leading women, joined Paul and ^(B)Silas.

Blessing and Conflict at Antioch

^42 [a]So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath.

²² And they said, “Cornelius the centurion, a just man, one who fears God and ^(A)has a good reputation among all the nation of the Jews, was divinely instructed by a holy angel to summon you to his house, and to hear words from you.”

^2 (A)a devout man and one who ^(B)feared God with all his household, who gave ^[a]alms generously to the people, and prayed to God always.
