⁵ “We have found this man to be a troublemaker, stirring up riots^(A) among the Jews^(B) all over the world. He is a ringleader of the Nazarene^(C) sect^{(D) 6} and even tried to desecrate the temple;^(E) so we seized him.

²⁸ shouting, “Fellow Israelites, help us! This is the man who teaches everyone everywhere against our people and our law and this place. And besides, he has brought Greeks into the temple and defiled this holy place.”^(A)

¹³ They produced false witnesses,^(A) who testified, “This fellow never stops speaking against this holy place^(B) and against the law.

¹⁵ But since it involves questions about words and names and your own law^(A)—settle the matter yourselves. I will not be a judge of such things.”
