⁴ And ^(A)some of them were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, as did ^(B)a great many of the devout ^(C)Greeks and not a few of the leading women.

^12 (A)Many of them therefore believed, with not a few Greek ^(B)women of high standing as well as men.

⁴ But the people of the city ^(A)were divided; ^(B)some sided with the Jews and some with the apostles.

The Council's Letter to Gentile Believers

²² Then it seemed good to ^(A)the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men from among them and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They sent Judas called ^(B)Barsabbas, and ^(C)Silas, leading men among ^(D)the brothers,

^50 (A)But the Jews incited the devout ^(B)women of high standing and the leading men of the city, ^(C)stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and ^(D)drove them out of their district.

⁴³ And after the meeting of the synagogue broke up, many Jews and ^(A)devout ^(B)converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who, as they spoke with them, urged them ^(C)to continue in ^(D)the grace of God.

⁵ and this, not as we expected, but they ^(A)gave themselves first to the Lord and then by the will of God to us.
