27 The aim was that they would search for God, and perhaps reach out for him and find him. Indeed, he is actually not far from each one of us, 28 for in him we live and move and exist; as also some of your own poets have put it, ‘For we are his offspring.’
29 “Well, then, if we really are God’s offspring, we ought not to suppose that the divinity is like gold or silver or stone, formed by human skill and ingenuity.

27 (A)so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, (B)though He is not far from each one of us; 28 for (C)in Him we live and move and have our being, (D)as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ 29 Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, (E)we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising.
