¹⁶ Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, ^(A)his spirit was provoked within him when he saw that the city was ^[a]given over to idols.

⁷ and ^(A)delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked

¹⁹ So it was, as soon as he came near the camp, that ^(A)he saw the calf and the dancing. So Moses’ anger became hot, and he cast the tablets out of his hands and broke them at the foot of the mountain. ^20 (B)Then he took the calf which they had made, burned it in the fire, and ground it to powder; and he scattered it on the water and made the children of Israel drink it.

⁵ And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the ^(A)hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored ^[a]as whole as the other.
