^15 (A)Those who conducted Paul brought him as far as ^(B)Athens, and after receiving a command ^(C)for Silas and Timothy to come to him as soon as possible, they departed.

3 Therefore when we could bear it no longer, we were willing ^(A)to be left behind at Athens alone,

^5 (A)When Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul ^(B)was occupied with the word, ^(C)testifying to the Jews that the Christ was ^(D)Jesus.

18 After this Paul^[a] left Athens and went to Corinth.

¹⁰ For ^(A)Demas, ^(B)in love with ^(C)this present world, ^(D)has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia,^{[a] (E)}Titus to Dalmatia. ^11 (F)Luke alone is with me. Get ^(G)Mark and bring him with you, for he is very useful to me for ministry.

¹² When I send Artemas or ^(A)Tychicus to you, do your best to come to me ^(B)at Nicopolis, for I have decided to spend the winter there.

²⁰ Erastus remained at Corinth, and I left ^(A)Trophimus, who was ill, at Miletus. ^21 (B)Do your best to come before winter. Eubulus sends greetings to you, as do Pudens and Linus and Claudia and all the brothers.^[a]

²¹ Now all the Athenians and the foreigners who lived there would spend their time in nothing except telling or hearing something new.

¹⁶ Now while Paul was waiting for them at Athens, his spirit was ^(A)provoked within him as he saw that the city was ^(B)full of idols.
