Preaching Christ at Thessalonica

17 Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to ^(A)Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue of the Jews.

¹⁶ For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities.

⁴ And Sopater of Berea accompanied him to Asia—also ^(A)Aristarchus and Secundus of the Thessalonians, and ^(B)Gaius of Derbe, and ^(C)Timothy, and ^(D)Tychicus and ^(E)Trophimus of Asia.

¹⁰ for ^(A)Demas has forsaken me, ^(B)having loved this present world, and has departed for Thessalonica—Crescens for Galatia, Titus for Dalmatia.

² So, entering a ship of Adramyttium, we put to sea, meaning to sail along the coasts of Asia. ^(A)Aristarchus, a Macedonian of Thessalonica, was with us.

¹³ But when the Jews from Thessalonica learned that the word of God was preached by Paul at Berea, they came there also and stirred up the crowds.

¹¹ These were more ^[a]fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and ^(A)searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.

¹³ And on the Sabbath day we went out of the city to the riverside, where prayer was customarily made; and we sat down and spoke to the women who met there.
