The Macedonian Vision

And they passed through the [a](A)Phrygian and (B)Galatian region, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in [b](C)Asia; and after they came to (D)Mysia, they were trying to go into (E)Bithynia, and the (F)Spirit of Jesus did not permit them; and passing by (G)Mysia, they came down to (H)Troas. (I)And a vision appeared to Paul in the night: a man of (J)Macedonia was standing and appealing to him, and saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 10 And when he had seen (K)the vision, immediately (L)we sought to [c]go into Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to (M)proclaim the gospel to them.

The Call to Go to Macedonia (Europe)

They went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, because they were prevented by the Holy Spirit from speaking the word in the province of Asia. When they went as far as Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them. So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas. A vision appeared to Paul during the night. A Macedonian man was standing there, urging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us!” 10 As soon as he had seen the vision, we[a] immediately made plans to proceed to Macedonia, because we concluded that God[b] had called us to preach the good news to them.
