The Macedonian Call

⁶ Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of ^(A)Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in ^[a]Asia.

²³ After he had spent some time there, he departed and went over the region of ^(A)Galatia and Phrygia ^[a]in order, ^(B)strengthening all the disciples.

² and all the brethren who are with me,

To the churches of Galatia:

Greeting to the Elect Pilgrims

1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ,

To the ^[a]pilgrims ^(A)of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

¹⁰ for ^(A)Demas has forsaken me, ^(B)having loved this present world, and has departed for Thessalonica—Crescens for Galatia, Titus for Dalmatia.

Justification by Faith^(A)

3 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you ^[a]that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed ^[b]among you as crucified?

¹⁵ This you know, that all those in Asia have turned away from me, among whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.

Delivered from Suffering

⁸ For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, of ^(A)our ^[a]trouble which came to us in Asia: that we were burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life.

Collection for the Saints

16 Now concerning ^(A)the collection for the saints, as I have given orders to the churches of Galatia, so you must do also:

²⁶ Moreover you see and hear that not only at Ephesus, but throughout almost all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away many people, saying that ^(A)they are not gods which are made with hands. ²⁷ So not only is this trade of ours in danger of falling into disrepute, but also the temple of the great goddess Diana may be despised and ^[a]her magnificence destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worship.”
