³ Paul wanted to have him go on with him. And he ^(A)took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in that region, for they all knew that his father was Greek.

³ Yet not even Titus who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised.

²⁰ and ^(A)to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the ^[a]law, that I might win those who are under the law;

⁶ For ^(A)in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but ^(B)faith working through love.

Christian Liberty

5 ^(A)Stand^[a] fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a ^(B)yoke of bondage. ² Indeed I, Paul, say to you that ^(C)if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing. ³ And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised ^(D)that he is ^[b]a debtor to keep the whole law.

⁸ (for He who worked effectively in Peter for the apostleship to the ^(A)circumcised ^(B)also ^(C)worked effectively in me toward the Gentiles),

^19 (A)Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, but ^(B)keeping the commandments of God is what matters.

⁴⁰ but Paul chose Silas and departed, ^(A)being ^[a]commended by the brethren to the grace of God.

³⁷ Now Barnabas ^[a]was determined to take with them ^(A)John called Mark.

²⁰ but that we ^(A)write to them to abstain ^(B)from things polluted by idols, ^(C)from ^[a]sexual immorality, ^(D)from things strangled, and from blood.
