¹⁷ She followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God,^(A) who are telling you the way to be saved.”

⁶ Jesus answered, “I am^(A) the way^(B) and the truth^(C) and the life.^(D) No one comes to the Father except through me.^(E)

¹⁶ Live as free people,^(A) but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil;^(B) live as God’s slaves.^(C)

⁷ He shouted at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me,^(A) Jesus, Son of the Most High God?^(B) In God’s name don’t torture me!”

²⁰ When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?”^(A)

²⁸ Then Nebuchadnezzar said, “Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who has sent his angel^(A) and rescued^(B) his servants! They trusted^(C) in him and defied the king’s command and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.^(D)

²⁶ Nebuchadnezzar then approached the opening of the blazing furnace and shouted, “Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, servants of the Most High God,^(A) come out! Come here!”

So Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the fire,

⁴¹ Moreover, demons came out of many people, shouting, “You are the Son of God!”^(A) But he rebuked^(B) them and would not allow them to speak,^(C) because they knew he was the Messiah.

³⁴ “Go away! What do you want with us,^(A) Jesus of Nazareth?^(B) Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are^(C)—the Holy One of God!”^(D)
