¹³ On the Sabbath we went a little way outside the city to a riverbank, where we thought people would be meeting for prayer, and we sat down to speak with some women who had gathered there.

¹⁴ But Paul and Barnabas traveled inland to Antioch of Pisidia.^[a]

On the Sabbath they went to the synagogue for the services.

²³ But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed as God’s servant to proclaim it.

⁵ When we returned to the ship at the end of the week, the entire congregation, including women^[a] and children, left the city and came down to the shore with us. There we knelt, prayed,

Paul’s Final Visit to Troas

⁷ On the first day of the week, we gathered with the local believers to share in the Lord’s Supper.^[a] Paul was preaching to them, and since he was leaving the next day, he kept talking until midnight.

⁴ Each Sabbath found Paul at the synagogue, trying to convince the Jews and Greeks alike.

² As was Paul’s custom, he went to the synagogue service, and for three Sabbaths in a row he used the Scriptures to reason with the people.

A Call from Macedonia

⁶ Next Paul and Silas traveled through the area of Phrygia and Galatia, because the Holy Spirit had prevented them from preaching the word in the province of Asia at that time.

⁴² As Paul and Barnabas left the synagogue that day, the people begged them to speak about these things again the next week.

² but early the next morning he was back again at the Temple. A crowd soon gathered, and he sat down and taught them.
