Peter Says That Both Jews And Gentiles Are Saved By Grace And Faith, Not By The Law

⁶ And the apostles and the elders were gathered together to see about this matter. ⁷ And much debate having taken place, Peter, having stood up, said to them, “Men, brothers, you know that from the old^[a] days God made-a-choice among you that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the message of the good-news and believe. ⁸ And God, the heart-knower, testified^[b]— having given the Holy Spirit to them, just as also to us. ⁹ And He made no distinction between both us and them, having cleansed their hearts by faith. ¹⁰ Therefore^[c] why are you now testing God by laying a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? ¹¹ Rather, we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus in accordance with the way those also are saved ”.
