¹³ And after they had ^[a]become silent, ^(A)James answered, saying, “Men and brethren, listen to me:

¹⁷ But ^(A)motioning to them with his hand to keep silent, he declared to them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, “Go, tell these things to James and to the brethren.” And he departed and went to another place.

Greetings.

¹² for before certain men came from James, ^(A)he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing ^[a]those who were of the circumcision.

⁹ and when James, ^[a]Cephas, and John, who seemed to be ^(A)pillars, perceived ^(B)the grace that had been given to me, they gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, ^(C)that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.

^19 [a]So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, ^(A)slow to speak, ^(B)slow to wrath;

¹⁹ But ^(A)I saw none of the other apostles except ^(B)James, the Lord’s brother.

³⁰ But if anything is revealed to another who sits by, ^(A)let the first keep silent. ³¹ For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged. ³² And ^(B)the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. ³³ For God is not the author of ^[a]confusion but of peace, ^(C)as in all the churches of the saints.
