Paul and Barnabas at Lystra

⁸ Now at Lystra there was a man sitting who could not use his feet. He was ^(A)crippled from birth and had never walked.

² And a man ^(A)lame from birth was being carried, ^(B)whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple that is called the Beautiful Gate ^(C)to ask alms of those entering the temple.

⁹ if we are being examined today ^(A)concerning a good deed done to a crippled man, by what means this man has been healed,

Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind

9 As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. ² And his disciples asked him, ^(A)“Rabbi, ^(B)who sinned, ^(C)this man or ^(D)his parents, that he was born blind?”

⁷ The sick man answered him, “Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up, and while I am going another steps down before me.”

³ In these lay a multitude of invalids—blind, lame, and ^(A)paralyzed.^{[a] 5} One man was there who had been an invalid for thirty-eight years.
