²⁶ and from there they sailed to Antioch, ^(A)where they had been ^(B)commended to the grace of God for the work that they had fulfilled.

⁴⁰ but Paul chose Silas and departed, ^(A)having been commended by ^(B)the brothers to ^(C)the grace of the Lord.

The Church in Antioch

^19 (A)Now those who were scattered because of the persecution that arose over Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the word to no one except Jews.

¹⁷ And say to ^(A)Archippus, “See that you fulfill ^(B)the ministry that you have received in the Lord.”

²⁸ Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that ^(A)we may present everyone ^(B)mature in Christ.

Paul's Change of Plans

¹² For our boast is this, ^(A)the testimony of our conscience, that we behaved in the world with simplicity^[a] and ^(B)godly sincerity, ^(C)not by earthly wisdom but by the grace of God, and supremely so toward you.

^19 (A)by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God—so that ^(B)from Jerusalem and all the way around ^(C)to Illyricum I have fulfilled the ministry of the gospel of Christ;

Barnabas and Saul Sent Off

13 Now there were in the church at Antioch ^(A)prophets and ^(B)teachers, ^(C)Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger,^[a] Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen a lifelong friend of ^(D)Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. ² While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, ^(E)the Holy Spirit said, ^(F)“Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul ^(G)for the work to which I have called them.” ³ Then after fasting and ^(H)praying they laid their hands on them and ^(I)sent them off.
