Paul Stoned at Lystra

^19 (A)But Jews came from Antioch and Iconium, and having persuaded the crowds, ^(B)they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing that he was dead.

¹¹ my persecutions and sufferings that happened to me ^(A)at Antioch, ^(B)at Iconium, and ^(C)at Lystra—which persecutions I endured; yet ^(D)from them all ^(E)the Lord rescued me.

²⁵ Three times I was ^(A)beaten with rods. ^(B)Once I was stoned. Three times I ^(C)was shipwrecked; a night and a day I was adrift at sea;

^50 (A)But the Jews incited the devout ^(B)women of high standing and the leading men of the city, ^(C)stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and ^(D)drove them out of their district. ⁵¹ But they ^(E)shook off the dust from their feet against them and went to Iconium.

⁵ When an attempt was made by both Gentiles and Jews, with their rulers, ^(A)to mistreat them and ^(B)to stone them,

^45 (A)But ^(B)when the Jews^[a] saw the crowds, they were filled with ^(C)jealousy and began to contradict what was spoken by Paul, ^(D)reviling him.

²³ Are they ^(A)servants of Christ? ^(B)I am a better one—I am talking like a madman—with far greater labors, ^(C)far more imprisonments, ^(D)with countless beatings, and ^(E)often near death.

¹² So Jesus also ^(A)suffered ^(B)outside the gate in order to sanctify the people ^(C)through his own blood. ¹³ Therefore let us go to him outside the camp and bear ^(D)the reproach he endured.

⁵⁸ Then ^(A)they cast him out of the city and ^(B)stoned him. And ^(C)the witnesses laid down their garments ^(D)at the feet of a young man named Saul.
